It's heartbreaking; I truly feel for Simon and Zander, how Sid's loss affected them. 

I'm so sorry it had to be like that but Sid's death wouldn't have been a peaceful one.

It's so far in the past and we know what happens in the future after that, but this was a beautifully written piece, hun
